Saikai Izakaya transforms the challenges of a narrow and irregular site into an immersive dining journey. Inspired by cinematic storytelling, the design divides the restaurant into 23 distinct yet interconnected scenes, guiding guests through shifting atmospheres that balance intimacy and openness. Modular construction and layered materiality resolve spatial constraints while enhancing flexibility and durability. Subtle lighting and crafted details amplify the sense of discovery, creating a dining experience that is both theatrical and deeply engaging.
