Takaaki Matsuura is a professional fashion designer with extensive experience in the Japanese apparel industry and is currently a candidate for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Doshisha University Graduate School. After building a professional foundation at domestic apparel manufacturers, he transitioned into an independent capacity, collaborating with diverse organizations ranging from major corporations to SMEs. Currently, he leads design at an apparel manufacturer while pursuing an MBA to broaden his strategic business perspective. As a separate, self-funded independent initiative, Matsuura leads "Human Ambient Design," focusing on repurposing industrial deadstock into high-value garments to achieve a seamless harmony between the wearer and their environment through the Circular Economy.
